Even as football stars take to the field, astro experts are working overtime to find out what the stars foretell about players' performances based on their jersey numbers.
Says astrologer Ratnaker Shukla, "Ronaldinho and Kaka of Brazil will outshine others in this World Cup. Ronaldinho's T-shirt has number 10, which denotes Saturn. While his team might see a rough patch, his individual performance will be exemplary."Tarot card reader Bindu Maira, however, is not positive about Kaka.
"He's number 8 is an erratic number. It always gives you a surprise. It signifies Saturn, so one is sceptical about this number. Either he'll do very well or very badly. This number works in extremes so he won't be lost in the crowd, he will be noticed," she says.
Numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani, says that Ronaldo whose jersey number is 9, will do well. "He was born on September 22, 1976, therefore his compound number is 9 of Mars."
And what about England's David Beckham? Ratnaker says, "Beckham, with number 7, will always be second. 7 denotes Venus, which means he will continue to charm. But his game will be affected."
Meanwhile, France's Zidane has still a lot of football left in him, says Ratnaker. "Zidane with number 10 will prove to be a stable member of his team,"he says.
